[For someone who wants to appear disconnected and fresh out of fucks to give, Andrew does actually care about his appearance, from the clothes he wears to the flashy car that he drives. But it's not out of a sense of pride and is instead just another way that Andrew exerts control over himself and his surroundings. After years of foster homes and hammy-downs, he's grown to appreciate the ability to buy what he wants and to own it outright.
Which is why Neil's lack of concern is aggravating to him. That he would have more care for a stalker binder of Kevin than items of actual use, such as clothing. Neil's priorities are in clear need or reorganization. (Not that he cares of course.)
