Wedge takes the offered hand and hauls himself to his feet with a grunt. He stands for a moment, tests his re-breather as he considers the situation. They could stay with the submersible and wait for who knows how long for possible rescue. Or they could take their chances with the open sea. With Ibtisam, he appreciated the chances of making the swim better than the hope that someone would come along looking for them.
