If it's successful, he'll bring it into his strong jaws and snap the spear in half. If not, well... Then they've got a tug of war on their hands.]

Instead, he shows a... different sort of strength. Ygnodentus opens his jaws wide, revealing this hellish mess of spider-like appendages coming from his mouth , all moveing unsettlingly before he snaps his mouth shut again, grinning.
